Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what we need to run your page and show you analytics. We don't store visitors' IP addresses, we don't use ad trackers, and we never sell data.
1. Who we are
TailMe is run by PLAYMKRS, the "controller" of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@tailme.co about anything in this policy.
2. What we collect
If you have an account
- Account details: your email address, the handle you choose, and when you agreed to our terms and confirmed your age.
- Your page: your name, bio, photo, blocks, plays, records, links and design. This is public once you publish your page.
- Uploads: images you upload, such as your photo, banner and block images.
- Billing: your plan and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.
- Support: messages you send us through the Help tab or by email.
- Unpublished drafts: changes you haven't published yet, so you don't lose them.
When anyone visits TailMe
- Visits and clicks: which page was viewed or which link was clicked, the country (worked out from your connection, not stored as an address), device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), the site you came from, and any campaign tag in the link.
- A daily anonymous ID: to count unique visitors, we combine your IP address and browser details into a scrambled code that changes every day. We don't store IP addresses, and the code can't be used to follow you from one day to the next.
- Security logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs to keep the service running and to stop abuse.
We don't use advertising trackers, sell data or build profiles of visitors.
3. Why we use it
- To provide TailMe (to perform our contract with you): signing you in, hosting your page, taking payments for plans and answering support.
- To run and improve it (our legitimate interests): analytics for you and us, security, preventing fraud and abuse, and fixing problems.
- To meet legal duties (legal obligation): such as keeping billing records and answering lawful requests.
- With your consent, where needed: for example, if we ever send marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EU, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and page data: for as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete it within 30 days, apart from backups, which expire within a further 30 days.
- Visit and click records: up to 24 months, then deleted or kept only as totals.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Billing records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
8. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, and you can object to or limit how we use it. Email support@tailme.co and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.
If you're in the US, including California, you have similar rights to know about, access, correct and delete your data. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
9. Age limits
TailMe is only for adults: 18+, or 21+ in the United States. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a minor has signed up, tell us and we'll delete the account.
10. Keeping it safe
We use encryption in transit, access controls, sign-in links instead of passwords, and the minimum data we need. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in your dashboard. See also our Terms of Service.
Questions? Email support@tailme.co or use the Help tab in your dashboard. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
