How it works

Bet payout calculator: the basics

Payout vs profit

Your payout is everything you get back if the bet wins: your stake plus your profit. A $20 bet at +150 pays out $50, which is $30 profit and your $20 back.

Positive American odds

Positive odds show the profit on a $100 bet. +150 wins $150 on $100, so a $20 bet wins $30. Divide the odds by 100 and multiply by your stake.

Negative American odds

Negative odds show how much you need to bet to win $100. -150 means betting $150 to win $100, so a $20 bet wins $13.33. Divide 100 by the odds and multiply by your stake.

Decimal and fractional odds

With decimal odds, your payout is simply stake × odds: $20 at 2.50 pays $50. With fractional odds, 3/2 means you win 3 for every 2 staked.

FAQ

Bet payout calculator questions

How do I calculate a bet payout?

Convert the odds to decimal, then multiply by your stake. That's your total payout. Subtract your stake to get the profit.

How much do I win on a $100 bet at -110?

$90.91 profit, so you get $190.91 back in total. To win exactly $100 at -110 you need to bet $110.

How much do I need to bet to win $100?

At positive odds, divide 100 by the odds and multiply by 100 (+200 needs $50). At negative odds, bet the number shown (-150 needs $150). Use "I want to win" mode to work it out for any odds.

Does the payout include my stake?

Yes. Payout is your total return including your stake. Profit is the payout minus your stake.
