A bet slip is where you build and confirm a bet, and the record of it afterwards. It shows each selection, the odds, your stake and what it pays.
Cappers often share bet slip screenshots as proof of their picks. On their own, they're easy to fake or crop, which is why posting picks before the game and grading every result matters more.
TailMe shows picks as clean bet slips on a capper's page, in each visitor's preferred odds format.
How it works
The bet slip is where a bet comes together. As you tap selections, they're added to the slip, where you choose the bet type, such as singles, a parlay or a round robin, and enter your stake.
Before you confirm, the slip shows the odds, your stake and the potential payout. That's the moment to check everything:
- The odds format. Make sure you're reading American odds or decimal odds correctly.
- Odds changes. Many sportsbooks have a setting to accept odds changes automatically. Turning it off avoids being matched at a worse price.
- The bet type. Several selections can be placed as separate bets or one parlay. They pay very differently.
After placing, the bet slip becomes your record of the bet, with an ID, the time it was placed and the result once it settles. Keeping those records is the first step to tracking your ROI.
Cappers often share screenshots of slips, but a screenshot only proves a bet exists, not when it was shared. Picks posted before the game, with odds and stake, are much stronger proof.
Examples
- Example 1
A slip with two legs at -110 placed as a parlay with a $25 stake shows a potential payout of $91.12.
- Example 2
The same two legs placed as two singles of $25 each cost $50 in total. If both win, they return $95.45, and if one wins, you still get $47.73 back.
Common questions
What does a bet slip show?
The selections, the odds, the bet type, your stake and the potential payout. After the bet settles, it also shows the result.
Can you edit a bet slip after placing a bet?
Usually not. Once a bet is placed, the only options are to let it run or use cash out if the sportsbook offers it.
